Description of evening English courses

Modules of 2 lessons per week: from September to the end of January and from February to the end of June in the evening.

Evening courses

Levels

  • Elementary levels (A1 and A2) for learners with little or no knowledge of the language.
  • Intermediate levels (B1.1+ B1.2) for learners who already have a basic knowledge of the language want to improve their skills.

 

The English courses in Languages in Applied Situations for Higher Education are also open to EVERYONE (even if you are not enrolled in a bachelor’s degree programme).

Register

Enrolment takes place from Monday to Thursday between 2pm and 6pm WITHOUT appointment at the school office: Avenue Kersbeek 306 – 1180 Uccle

Minimum age: 16 (or 15 if in Year 10)

Admission test

To ensure you are placed in the level best suited to your knowledge, we organise written and oral admission tests.

If you already hold a language certificate issued by a school in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, please bring it with you when you register.

Documents required for enrolment

  • Your identity card or passport (and visa if necessary)
  • If you are registered with the CPAS/VDAB, please bring your certificate proving your social integration income for the month of enrolment
  • If you are taking an Actiris course, you must bring your Actiris language cheque
  • If you are between 16 and 18 years old: proof of regular attendance at a full-time secondary school

Payment methods

  • Bancontact (Belgian bank card) or cash (VISA, MasterCard, other credit cards, foreign bank cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay are not accepted)
  • The full course fee must be paid on the day of registration.

Please note: Registration will not be processed without all required documents (ID, CPAS certificate dated from the month the course starts, payment, etc.).

The UECPA cannot be held responsible if places are no longer available for your level at the time of registration.
In the event of withdrawal, only the legal registration fee (DI) is refundable up to 1/10th of the teaching unit. Administrative fees (DIC) are non-refundable.

Basic rates

 

  • EU nationals: €150 for one course module – €200 for two course modules (= entire academic year).
  • Non-EU nationals: €240 for one course module – €380 for two course modules (= entire academic year).

Reductions or exemptions

Reduced fee of €90 in the following cases:

  • Registration with the CPAS: certificate dated from the month the course begins for people receiving social integration income
  • Registration with the VDAB: exemption certificate dated from the start of the course month
  • Job seekers (Actiris, Forem) receiving full-time or part-time unemployment benefits or taking part in a professional integration programme (Actiris registration number required)
  • Minors (under 18): proof of enrolment in a full-time secondary school
  • Disabilities recognised by PHARE or AVIQ: certificate issued by the relevant fund (Brussels-Capital Region or Walloon Region) confirming that training is required for professional integration. Certificates may also be issued by a competent public authority or include a court decision recognising disability, invalidity, occupational illness, workplace accident, or accident resulting in permanent incapacity.
  • Public authority: certificate bearing the seal of the authority requiring you to attend the training unit

Reduced fee of €90 – FEDASIL
You must bring your FEDASIL document with you when you register.

PLEASE NOTE: Only original exemption documents (CPAS, VDAB, Actiris, etc.) will be accepted. Photos will not be accepted.
