Description of English and Dutch courses: language in context
The UECPA offers Language in Context courses for higher education (English and Dutch). These courses are open to any student with the required skills to access the teaching units (80 periods each).
Modules consist of 2 lessons per week, from September to the end of January and/or from February to the end of June.
We also offer intensive daytime courses several times per year (4 lessons per week).

In our school, you can complete all Language in Context for Higher Education courses in just one year!
Please note: These courses are open to everyone, even if you are not enrolled in a bachelor’s degree programme.

Practical information
Register
Monday to Thursday, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, WITHOUT appointment at the school secretariat: Avenue Kersbeek 306 – 1180 Uccle
Admission requirements
Minimum age: 16 (or 15 if enrolled in Year 10)
Placement test
To ensure you enter the level best suited to your knowledge, we organise written and oral placement tests.
If you already hold a certificate of achievement issued by a school in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, please bring it with you at registration.
Documents required for registration
- Your identity card or passport (and visa if necessary)
- If you are registered with the CPAS/VDAB, please bring your certificate proving your social integration income FOR THE MONTH OF REGISTRATION
- If enrolling via Actiris: your Actiris language voucher
- If you are between 16 and 18 years old: proof of regular attendance at a full-time secondary school
Payment methods
- Bancontact (Belgian bank card) or cash
(VISA, MasterCard, other credit cards, foreign bank cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay are not accepted) - The full course fee must be paid on the day of registration.
Please note: Registration cannot be completed without all required documents (ID, CPAS certificate dated within the month, payment, etc.).
The UECPA cannot be held responsible if no places remain at your level at the time of registration.
In case of cancellation, only the legal registration fee (DI) is refundable up to 1/10 of the course. Administrative fees (DIC) are non-refundable.

Discounts or exemptions
- Reduced fee of €90 in the following cases:
- CPAS registration: certificate from the month of the course start date, for people receiving social integration income
- VDAB registration: exemption certificate dated from the month the course starts
- Jobseekers (Actiris, Forem) receiving full- or part-time unemployment benefits or completing a professional integration internship (Actiris registration number required)
- Minors (under 18): proof of enrolment in a full-time secondary school
- Recognised disabilities (PHARE or AVIQ): certificate issued by the relevant fund (Brussels-Capital or Walloon Region), confirming that training is needed for professional integration. Certificates may also include court decisions recognising disability, invalidity, occupational illness, workplace accident, or accident resulting in permanent incapacity.
- Public authority: certificate bearing the authority’s seal requiring you to attend the training unit
PLEASE NOTE: Only original exemption documents (CPAS, VDAB, Actiris, etc.) will be accepted; photographs of these documents will not be accepted!
Reduced rate of £90: FEDASIL
